Lip Gloss and Other Thoughts

Well, seems as if Mother of the Year has once again slipped away from me for this year! My youngest decdied last night that she 'needed to look extra pretty" and proceeded to locate her sisters favorite webkinz strawberry flavored lip gloss. You can see where this is going can't you??

After applying the gloss to her lips, cheecks, neck and throat the scent must have seemed too good to be true - so she bit off the top (apparently it can come off!) gave a good strong squeeze and managed to cover her brand new American Girl Kit nightgown, her hair and my couch with pink gooey sparkle lip gloss.

Now most Moms would have gone into immediate clean up mode - - - but not this one. It was dangerously close to bedtime - so I cleaned up her face, tried to remove at least some of the sparkles from her hair, wiped down her nightie and off to bed she went. I mean I can only do so much in a day here people.

I did take a moment this morning in between getting dressed and trying to stop my 4 year old from drinking all of my coffee to assess the couch stain situation. I have to be honest - not sure what to do about it. Of course it is right smack dab in the middle of the back cushion so it is pretty obvious.

Thank God for Google....I think I will start there......just another day in paradise!
